Valentine Harris’s life story is a testament to perseverance, adaptability, and a relentless pursuit of purpose. Born in Jamaica and immigrating to the United States in 1981, he embraced the opportunities and challenges of a new land with determination. From working at Burger King at the age of 14 to dealing with the complexities of immigrant life in Maryland, Valentine’s early experiences shaped a foundation of hard work, independence, and an unwavering commitment to self-betterment. Valentine made a pivotal decision to enlist in the U.S. Army as a food service specialist.

Over a remarkable 20-year military career, he honed leadership skills, discipline, and resilience while pursuing higher education. Earning an MBA in Healthcare Management, Valentine combined his passion for service with professional growth. His military experiences instilled a deep sense of purpose, particularly in healthcare, where he has consistently championed the importance of helping others.

After retiring from the Army in 2021, Valentine focused on political and social issues, driven by a desire to inspire meaningful change within his community. This shift marked the beginning of a prolific literary career. Valentine’s works include four impactful books exploring unique and compelling themes. His titles include the critically acclaimed Towers of Power: The Rise, Fall, and Loyalty to Donald Trump, a deep dive into ambition and power in modern politics; My Black Vote Doesn’t Matter, a poignant reflection on race and democracy; The Black Godmother, a tribute to unsung heroes in the African American community; and Game Interrupted: The Mikayla Carter Story, a heartwarming tale of perseverance and triumph.
